Ex Astris Scientia!
SO Space is the Southern Ontario Space research and technology festival and is a non-profit educational event being held for the very first time on Sunday Sept. 9 from 12pm - 5pm at Kitchener City Hall!

Join us in celebrating the unique and interesting space research and technology happening right here in Southern Ontario. Tickets are only $5 per adult and kids under 12 are free!

There will be activities for families, children, and everyone to enjoy in the Kitchener City Hall rotunda such as the Starlab display hosted by The Museum, astronomy activities hosted by the Laurier Centre for Women in Science, as well as displays and activities from the UW Earth Sciences Museum and the Centre for Planetary Studies and Exploration from the University of Western Ontario! Information booths will also be on available regarding Yuri’s night, Nerd Nite, the Planetary Society, and local maker-space Kwartzlab!

There will also be special guest speakers from the space science community giving informative and engaging presentations about amazing projects happening here in Canada. If you are considering a career in space technology or are a curious minded space and science enthusiast, there is something for for you at SO Space!

In the evening, there will be a "meet the scientist" social event starting at 7:30pm at the Rum Runner pub in Kitchener where members of the public can interact with members of the science community in a social setting.
